Perennials are considered as more low maintenance plants, however they do still require care & attention.
Water, fertilizer and even mulching are important.
Deadheading ( removing spent blooms) is also necessary. This will help your plants grow more flowers.
If there are too many flowers to snip individually, wait until the perennial finishes blooming, then shear it all at once with clippers. Leave some foliage for energy regrowth. Apply balanced liquid fertilizer immediately for a lighter rebloom in a few weeks.
A mistake commonly made with perennials is planting them too close together.
They are constantly growing & expanding since they come up year by year. So it's important to give them enough space when planting.
